EXHIBIT B - MINING PLAN
Topaz Mine - Pioneer Uravan, Inc.
March 10, 1980
Ore will be mined underground by modified room and pillar methods
used by most underground uranium and vanadium mining operators in Western
Colorado and Eastern Utah. The rock will be broken into manageable sized
pieces, loaded into diesel underground trucks, trucked to the surface, and
transferred into larger trucks to be hauled to the mill. Whenever possible,
all barren rock will be left underground and used as backfill.
Approximately 500 feet of existing drill road will be improved to
allow access to this mine (see Exhibit C-2 for details). Total area disturbed
at this site is 9.9 acres including the 500 feet of access road. Vent holes
are not expected to be needed at this mine.
Mining operations will cease when all existing ore is mined estimating
15 years, at which time reclamation will be initiated.
