The portal will be closed off by pulling the timbering and back fill-
ing with available barren rock previously brought to the surface. Erosion of
rock dump slopes is virtually non-existant due to the grid climate. The minor
amount of erosion which does occur will be controlled by s rategic placing of
rip rap material.
