<br />~YiIIBIT B <br />1~1INING PLAN <br /> <br />The proposed site is located on 2 shelves of land in <br />Lots 1 and 6 in Section 13, as shown on the ar,tached schematic <br />sketch. Equipment vrill be placed on the lower shelf and the <br />mining will take place in a southerly direction. it is estim- <br />ated that this deposit contains approximately 140,000 yards or <br />210,000 tons. P~linir~g will L•e accomplished by the use of front <br />end loaders as used in typical dry pit operations. <br />The initial stages of the proje•ot will be start~:d in the <br />northern most part of the site and move i.n a general southerly <br />direction. <br />It is estimated that the life of the operation would be <br />from four to ten years determined entirely by market conditions. <br />In addition to conventional front end loading equipment, <br />grave'_ crushing, sorting and conveying equipment will be in- <br />stalled. Application has bean granted by Garfield County to <br />allow operation of a cpncrete hatch plant on the site. A con- <br />tract, activated by iss~.:ance of permit, specified that no con- <br />crete residue will be deposited on tiie site or adjoining land. <br />A further stipulat.icn of this contract insurF~s that the mixer <br />trucks will be washed at, the noi.nt of concrete delivery and <br />that no washing will be permitted at the site of the bitch <br />plant or on adjoining land. Proper settling roods and a <br />recirculated water system for F;rave] washing activities will <br />also be put ir: place in compliance with county and state <br />regulations. <br />Plater quality su~•veillance procedures satisfactory to <br />State Health Dept. will be implemented in the Robertson Ditch <br />which is approximately 300 feet from the northerly boundary of <br />the site. Proposed p7.ans will include sampling of ditch water <br />up stream and down stream from ±he site. <br />Air quality surveillance procedures satisfactory to tY!e <br />Air Pollution Control Division will. be implemented on site and <br />on access roads and County Road 109 carving the site. <br />
