Pale 2
•
•

Page 2
lir, Brian ilunson
June 14, 1982
1. The Wilson-Loudy Loadout
2. The Northern No. 1 Mine and Refuse Dump
3. The Rienau No. 2 Mine
67a have decided not to seek approval on the P and J Seams or the
1111k Creek Loadout as we do not anticipate their construction
during the next five-year permit term, In addition, plans for
the Rienau No. 2 and Northern No, 1 Mines have been significantly
reduced so the five-year permit area is much smaller than originally
anticipated,
The enclosed information addresses those items in the Adequacy
Letters of June 8, June 15, and June 25, 1981. A number of sub-
missions by Northern and approvals by the CMLR have occurred since
the June 1980 submission. Those submissions were made under the
final federal program regulations to OSM and to the State of
Colorado. In order to avoid unnecessary duplication, when a
question in the June adequacy letters had already been addressed in
a document which has already been submitted to CMLR (after the
June 1980 Submission) under the final program and was approved, we
have referenced that full document's relevant chapter and page.
lJe hope that the enclosed information will assist you in your
review. We would be happy to discuss any of these items with you.
Please let us know if you need further information.
Sincerely,
170RTIIERN COAL COMPAIIY
Diane Geyer,
Environmental Specialist
DG:rg
Enclosures
cc: Al Klein, Administrator
Western Technical Office
Office of Surface Mining
Brooks Towers
1020 15th Street
Deriver, Colorado
xv
