The "suspect area" identified consists of a small overhang containing
possible fire-altered sandstone. As no other cultural materials were
found within this vicinity, the area has not been designated a site.
Figure 4 outlines the project area and identifies the locations of
the three archaeological sites and one suspect area recorded during the
survey. It is our opinion that all portions of the project area which
may have been conducive to prehistoric and/or historic occupation were
subjected to a 100 percent pedestrian survey. The probability of locating
other significant cultural resources within the project boundary is considered
to be less than 5 percent.
