Cultural resources were identified by surface exposures and were
characterized as isolated finds, isolated features, or sites. Isolated
finds were defined by the presence of one to five artifacts in a confined
area (300 feet beyond a site boundary), isolated features were those expo-
sures a meter square or smaller having no other cultural manifestations
present within 300 feet which would indicate association with a site, and
sites were defined as those resources having six or more artifacts or one
or more artifacts associated with a feature or features. Historic materials
in the form of architecture, trash, or unnatural land modification were
sought. No artifacts were collected during the survey.

22
