• the greatest potential for campsites (i.e. ridgetops and canyon <br />bottoms) were selected. It should be noted that portions of the <br />areas surveyed for this project had been previously surveyed by <br />Hibbets et al. (1979) and by Grand River Institute personnel <br />during the past few years but, because of some confusion over <br />exact acreag>; previously surveyed, surveyors rewalked several <br />areas. Figure 3 outlines those areas within the project bound- <br />ary which .were surveyed during the current study, areas previously <br />surveyed within the project boundary, and the overlap of the two. <br />On page 24, paragraph 2 should read: <br />Figure 4 outlines the project area and identifies the loca- <br />tions of the three archaeological sites and ene suspect area re- <br />corded during the survey. It is our opinion that all portions <br />of the project area which may have been conducive to prehistoric <br />and/or historic occupation were subjected to a 100 percent pedes- <br />trian survey. The probability of locating other significant cul- <br />tural resources within the project boundary is considered to be <br />less than 5 percent. <br />5.
