Snmanthes diuvialis will be conducted and the results forwarded to the CDMG. It is not anticipated that this
• species will be found, as the site appears to be outside of its natural range.
]8 Right Ventilation Shaft tTR04-44)
Approximately 4,400 feet of the access road crosses upland areas, with the remaining 2,700 feet crossing lowland
aeeas where road construction will involve removal of any lazge vegetation and stripping and stockpiling of other
vegetation, topsoil, and organic materials. Similazly, the shaft pad is located in an upland area. Given an average
topsoil depth of approximately 6 inches in the upland azea and a total road disturbance area of approximately 4.9
acres, approximately 3,950 CY of topsoil will be salvaged from the road corridor, and 11,452 CY from the 2.5 acre
pad area. Prior to initiating topsoil removal activities, stream/wetland buffer zones will be marked with identifying
signs to prevent surface disturbance within buffer zone aeeas. The topsoil from the road corridor will be windrowed
adjacent to the road and topsoil from the pad azea will be placed in a stockpile adjacent to the shaft pad and within
the road comdor, for futwe reclamation use. The topsoil salvage volumes aze indicated on Table 49A. Seeding
with the topsoil stockpile stabilization seed mixture identified on page 2.05-121 will stabilize the windrowed and
stockpiled topsoil.
•

MROS-194
2.05-84.2
07/2/05
