Once this application is granted an Air Quality Emissions permit will be applied <br />for at least 10 days before commencing work. Normally a permit is not required <br />on a pit this size. <br />2. We have applied for a land use permit from Huerfano County. It was passed by <br />the Land Use Administrative Committee on September 24, 2002, and was <br />reviewed on October 2, 2002 by the Huerfano County Commissioners. This <br />permit was accepted and passed by the Huerfano County Commissioners on <br />October 2, 2002. <br />3. This is an open pit operation and ground water will not be exposed. A well <br />permit and temporary supply plan is unnecessary. <br />4. A dredge fill permit (404) is not required. Water of the U.S. will not be <br />impacted. <br />5. A Storm Water Management Plan (SWMP) will not be necessary for this pit, as <br />there will be no discharge from the mined area. There will not be any storm <br />water retained on site. <br />
