~r The area will be fertilized with 40 lbs. of N (nitrogen) and 40 lbs. of P205 (phosphorus) per acre. This will be done after seeding and mulching. No trees or shrubs will be planted in this area, as they would not be compatible with the end use. The area will be fenced to prevent grazing or trampling by livestock until seeding is established. During the reseeding we will be in contact with the local Upper Huerfano Conservation District for their recommendations on type of seeding and methods used. There are no water sources such as lakes, streams, springs, stock water ponds, ditches, reservoirs, and or aquifers on or around the proposed mining area. Therefore, we will not be contaminating any of the natural resources on or around the proposed mining area. We do not believe that there are any endangered or threatened species known to exist in a close proximity to the proposed mining area. Therefore, our proposed mining operation should have little or no impact on the wildlife in the proposed area. There will be no significant disturbances outside of the 9.5 acres that we require to open this gravel pit. RECLAMATION COSTS This reclamation cost estimate is based on the assumption that there will be no more than the 9.5 acres disturbed at any one time. It is also based on a worse case scenario i,e., at a time when the greatest area will need some form of reclamation. At that time, mining will be complete and we will have to re-spread the topsoil and re-vegetate 9.5 acres.
