MINED LAND WILDLIFE STATEMENT/EVALUATION (Revised) <br />For Limited Impact and Select Regular Mine Applications <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining permit for: <br />Colorado Lien Rifle Quarry - M-85-83/Limestone/Sl of SWa <br />Name/Type and Location of Mine (Legal) T4S, R92W <br />Wildlife Species list: <br />Mule Deer Bobcat Turkey <br />Elk Marmot Golden Eagle <br />Mountain Lion Coyote Various species of raptors, songbirds, and small mammals. <br />Endangered/critical s ep ties/impacted: <br />Wolverine - one was spotted about three miles south of the mine site. <br />Critical habitats/vegetative communities impacted: <br />None/Mountain Schrub, Pinyon-Juniper <br />Assessment of impact: <br />Minor <br />Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />is designed). <br />1) Limit haul hours to 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. between Dec. 1 and May 15 to protest deer that winter in <br />vicinity of S.H. 325. <br />2) IrrQlem2nt dust control measures at mine site and access road to protect air quality. <br />3) Install runoff control measures to control sedimentation from quarry to Rifle Creek. <br />Prepared by• D~ Crane, Bill Elrtblad <br />Submitted by: Bill Elrrt~lad <br />te: June 5, 1985 <br />to : June 7, 1985 <br />This statement is void if not processed within one year. <br />This ana]ysis does not constitute approval of application. <br />REV.1-7-82 xc: MJZD - Peter O'Conror, File, Crane Page 2 of 2 <br />
