The surfac er is fine sandy <br />loam, loam, or clay loam. The denying layer is <br />mainly loam or clay loam extending to a depth of 40 <br />to 60 inches or more. A water table is at or near the <br />' ' surface in spring and summer. <br />Included with these soils in mapping are a few small <br />areas of Stoneham, Fort Collins, and Kim soils and <br />' Nunn clay loam, wet. <br />Runoff is slow to medium, and the hazard of water <br />erosion is alight to moderate. <br />These soils are suited to pasture and native grasses. <br />' A few areas are used for hay. If drained, the soils are <br />suited to crops. The main irrigated crops are barley, <br />corn, sugar beets, and wheat. This <br />' level soil is on low terraces and bottom lands. <br />Included with this soil in mapping are a few areas <br />of soils that are more eloping. Also included are small <br />areas of Loveland soils and a few minor areas of <br />' gravel bars. <br />Runoff is slow, and the hazard of erosion is alight. <br />If irrigated, this soil is suited to barley and sugar <br />beets and, to a lesser extent, corn. It is also well <br />' suited to pasture and native grasses. This <br />' ~~ soil is on low terraces and flood plains. <br />Included with this soil in mapping are a few small <br />areas of soils that are more sloping, small areas of <br />' soils in which gravel ie at a depth of 40 to 60 inches, <br />and a few small areas of soils that have a surface <br />layer of loam. Also included are small areas of Poudre <br />soils. <br />Runoff is slow, and the hazard of water erosion ie <br />slight. <br />If irrigated, this soil is suited to barley and pasture. <br />If drained, it is suited to corn and, to a lesser extent, <br />' sugar beets. Under dryland management it ie well <br />suited to pasture and native grasses. Under dryland <br />management it is suited to wheat and barley. It is also <br />well suited to pasture and native grasses. Capability <br />units Its-?, irrigated, and IIIe-8, dryland; Overflow <br />range site; windbreak suitability gt•oup'l. <br />105-Table Mountain loam, 0 to I ercent elopes. <br />This level soil is on low terraces and bottom lands. <br />Included with this soil in mapping are some small <br />areas of soils that have a surface layer of sandy loam <br />and some small areas of soils in which elopes are more <br />than 1 percent. Also included are a few small areas of <br />Caruso and Paoli soils and small areas of soils in which <br />sand and gravel layers are at a depth of about 40 <br />inches. <br />Runoff is slow, and the hazard of erosion is alight. <br />This soil is flooded or receives overflow in places. <br />If irrigated, this soil is well suited to corn, sugar <br />beets, beans, alfalfa, wheat, and barley.
