Weeds will be mowed before they go to seed throughout the first growing season. <br />Mechanical control will be used as a first priority. Chemical methods will only be used if no <br />other alternative produces acceptable results. <br />Wildlife <br />fhe proposed reclamation plan does not propose to create wildlife hahitat. All activities will be <br />planned considering the safety and protection of wildlife on the property. Some species may be <br />temporarily displaced by the mining activities. They are expected to re-establish with no <br />difficulty after the reclamation has been completed. This land has been actively cultivated <br />farmland for many years and does not serve as a corridor for wildlife nor a refuge. <br />Water <br />Disturbance of the area will be done to minimize the effect on the prevailing hydraulic balance as <br />follows: <br />a) The operator shall comply with all applicable Colorado water laws. <br />b) 'flee operator shall comply with all applicahle Federal and Srate water quality laws and <br />regulations. <br />c) The operator shall comply with all Federal and State Requirements for dredge and till. <br />There are no anticipated requirements of this type of activity. <br />d) The operator shall regrade and backfill all sediment and siltation structures afer mining <br />completion. <br />
