EXHIBIT G~:
WATER INFORF1ATION
Description
Water used to wash sand and batch concrete is obtained from three (3)
wells located on the property. Two of these wells have 450-800 gallons/
minute capacity but have been throttled down to approximately 120 gallons/
minute since the clarifier was installed in January 1975. This unit
recycles water used in washing sand and the +120 GPM is used to make up
water lost in the stockpiles and pumped through the underflow pump,
(55Y solids that reflect the excess fines washed out of the sand) into
a 1.66 acre pond: Some water in the pond seeps back into the aquifier
while the remainder evaporates. A second pond collects runoff from the
• stockpiles. Some of it seeps into the ground while the remainder
evaporates. The third well. is used in production of concrete and
averages less the 2,000,000 gallons/year.
In December 1979, District Court in and for the Water Division No. 2,
State of Colorado approved and Augmentation plan for replenishing the
aquifier through release of water from the Fountain Mutual Irrigation
Ditch. 104 shares of Fountain Mutual Irrigation Stock was purchased.
Copies of documentation pertinent to this augmentation plan are
attached.
Impact and Reclamation
• The sand and gravel from Daniels Sand Pit Number 2 will be removed by
dry excavation. Flo dewatering will be required at any time.
