Observations of larger rodents in the area, <br />such as Richardson's ground squirrels tend to suggest that these animals sprung these traps but <br />are too large to be caught. Finding traps several feet from where they were set with a bit of <br />fur suggests the same. <br />NOTE: Among trap captures were a hermit thrush, gray-headed junco, and green-tailed towhee. <br />
