5731 State Highway 13
Meeker, Colorado 81641
(970)824-1572.
(970)82434591=AX
~~•.
James A. Sample Sites by
Investigaticn Near Colo~.vyo Mine,1.975 - 1981, for additional information). These earlier studies had found no
springs or seeps occurring in the subject area.
On June 12, 1996, Colowyo conducted the spring and seep survey. • We found no spring or seeps iq the
subject area. The naturally occurring hillside slump (approximately 6 acres in size) above Taylor Creek was
also investigated. This hillside slump' occurred in 1984 during abnormally high regional precipitation patterns.
We found no surficial evidence of spring and seeps in or azound .the slump area. Minor ponding of water may
now occur in low, depressed areas of this natural slump area, dependent on local moisture conditions, but such
an occurrence appears to be a function of surface runoff collection rather than a function of a spring or seep:
Please contact me if.you require any additional information regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
~'~
J mes A.
