STORbfWATE'R DISCHARGES ASSOCL4TED WITH MINING OPERATIONS (cont.) <br />3. Inactive mine sites where, in conformance with the Voluntary Cleanup and Redevelopment Acr, (CRS 25-16~ <br />303), mine-waste remediation projects are undertaken. In this case, the SWMP would be prepared, relying in <br />part on information contained in the Voluntary Cleanup Plan. Once the Voluntary Cleanup Plan is approved <br />by the Hazardous Materials and Wasle Management Division, the owner, or third parry with permission of the <br />owner, would submit the completed permit application. After the permit:cerrijicarion is issued, stormwater <br />discharges from the remediarion project would be authorized. Certi~caiion under this permit would be <br />terminated when the termination criteria and other conditions listed at Part I.F of the permit are met. <br />C. Tynes of Activities NOT Covered <br />Tliis perntit does not authorize stormwater dtscharges from other types of regulated industrial activities. Other <br />ryoes of regulated industrial activities that require stormwater disrJwrge permits pursuant to different sections of the <br />regulatioru (S CCR 1002-2 Section 6.4.2(5)(6)(7-ii,iv-xi)] are covered under separate general permits. <br />This permit also does not authorize the discharge of process water or mine drainage. Applications for process <br />water or mine drainage discharge permits can be obtained from the Permits and Enforcement Section of the Water <br />Qualiry Control Division at the address listed in Part LA.3 of the permit.
