As requested, the staff will <br />provide you with a number of grass species which may be successful on <br />acid mine dumps together with revegetation techniques to be applied to <br />acid spoils prior to seeding. Due to time constraints, this information <br />will be provided as soon as possible after the August, 1983 Board meeting. <br />The staff suggests that the following seed mix be utilized on all <br />non-acidic disturbed sites outlined.in the Cash Mine application. <br />Slender Wheatgrass <br />Mountain MuNly <br />Thurber Fescue <br />Little Bluestem <br />Western Wheatgrass <br />1.1 lbs PLS/acre <br />.25 lb PLS/acre <br />.35 lb PLS/acre <br />1.(i lb PLS/acre <br />2.1 lb PLS/acre <br />This mix is appropriate for drill seeding.
