h11NED LAND WILDLIFE ST ATEI.IEIJT/EVALUATIOPI (Revised) <br />For Limited Impact and Select Regular Cline Applications <br /> <br />The following information pertaining to wildlife is provided for use by Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board in their consideration of a mining permit for: <br />Bear River Sand:and Gravel, 10 miles wesC ~bf Steamboat S rin s ou the 'am a <br />ame Type and Location o tine Lega Sec. 14-T6N-R86[J <br />Wildlife Species list: <br />Canada geese Beaver <br />variety of waterfowl P]uskrat <br />Great Blue Heron Racoons <br />Mule deer <br />Mink <br />Endangered/critical species/impacted: <br />Sandhill crane- known to nest in this area, but no nest or cranes <br />were found on the property <br />Critical habitatsJveoetative communities impacted: <br />Cottonwood riverbottom <br />Assessment of impact: <br />The majority of the wildlife activity on this property occurs on the <br />south side of the Yampa River. 1Jhen mining begins on the south side <br />of the river the operator should contact Uiv. of [Jildlife personnel. <br />Fine Reclamation recommendations (include key species/habitats for which restoration <br />is designed). <br />DOIJ personnel and the operator should identify trees that need to be protected <br />for nesting birds. The amount surface disturbance planned under this per[ait <br />will have a minimal impact on wildlife.
