2. The survey attached as Exhibit F to the Permit Application by Brundage Land <br />Surveying, Inc. portrays the area of affected land, limits of current pit operations and total area <br />currently disturbed of 7.0 acres. Mining operations will proceed to the east during the life of <br />the mining operation which is estimated at 20 years. Reclamation of Mined Out Premises will <br />be ongoing so that no more than 10 acres will be mined at any one time. The topography of <br />the area for the permitted acres is flat with minimal slope. The final land use for each portion <br />the affected lands will be reclamation to range land pursuant to standards from the Bent <br />County NRCS Office necessary to re-establish range land plant growth. <br />3. Concerning the request for wildlife information to be included in Exhibit H, we <br />have requested a report from Mel Depra, local wildlife conservation officer for the Colorado <br />Division of Wildlife, 1204 East Olive, Lamar, Colorado 81052, telephone no. (719) 336-6600. <br />4. Significant climatological factors for the locality to be included in Exhibit K are <br />as follows. <br />(a) Average yearly precipitation is 15 inches. <br />(b) Average temperature is 54 degrees. <br />(c) A chart for the period 1893 to 1997 is attached hereto. <br />5. Reclamation costs for a maximum of 10 acres of mined out property is estimated <br />at $10,211 as set forth on the attached Exhibit L. <br />6. Asset forth in Exhibit O attached to the Permit Application, the Colorado State <br />Land Board is the owner of the surface and mineral rights. An Extension of Mining Lease is <br />attached hereto. <br />7. Concerning proof of delivery of notices to the Bent County Commissioners and <br />Bent Soil Conservation District for Exhibit Q, a receipt of hand delivery of the Permit <br />Application dated October 9, 2001 by Patti Nickell, Bent County Clerk and Recorder was filed <br />with the Permit Application. The Notice of Filing Application and copy of Application was <br />hand delivered to the Bent Soil Conservation District and Bent County Commissioners on <br />October 15, 2001.
