<br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />The Fort Lyon Canal Company, 750 Bent Avenue, Las Animas, Colorado 81054, <br />telephone 719-456-0720, has filed an application for a Regular (112) Construction Materials <br />Operation Reclamation Permit with the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board under <br />provisions ofthe Colorado LandReclamation Act for the Extraction ofConstrucdon Materials. <br />The proposed mine is known as the Fort Lyon -State Pit No. 1, and is located at or near <br />Section 3, Township 22 South, Range 48 West, of the 6`n Prime Meridian. <br />The proposed date of commencement is October 23, 2001, and the proposed date of <br />completion is October 23, 2006. The proposed future use of the land is range land. <br />Additional information and tentative decision date maybe obtained from the Division <br />of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) <br />866-3567, or at the Bent County Clerk and Recorder's office, Bent County Courthouse, Las <br />Animas, Colorado, or the above-named applicant. A complete copy of the application is <br />available at the above-named County Clerk and Recorder's office and at the Division's office. <br />Comments concerning the application and exhibits must be in writing and must be <br />received by the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p. m. on , <br />2001. <br />Please note that under the provision ofC.R. S 34-32. S 101 et seq. Comments related to noise, <br />truck traffic, hours ofoperation, visual impacts, effects on property values and other social or <br />economic concerns are issues not subject to this Off'ice's jurisdic7ion. These subjects, and <br />similar ones, are typically addressed by your local governments, rather than the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology or the Mined Land Reclamation Board. <br />
