Alr. Dean Massey • •
February 7, 1978
• Page 2
The road in question was built in 1952 and has been used contin-
uously by private landholders and the BLM. This road was not con-
structed as an access to our mine but was in existence prior to our
beginning work. Other people have a continuing right of access to
property beyond the Occidental tract. The roadway cannot be subject
to reclamation since even upon completion of our mining operations
we would have no authority to reclaim it to conform with the natural
surroundings nor would the other landholders permit any attempt to
prevent the continued use.
MAPS:
A single map labeled Exhibit F has been prepared to clearly shoca
the boundary of the property, the affected land, vegetation types and
the proposed contours for two dump areas.
WATER INFORMATION:
Exhibit G has been rewritten and is enclosed.
RECLAMATION PLAN:
The Reclamation Plan has been rewritten and is enclosed.
SOURCE OF LEGAL RIGHT TO ENTER:
Copies of Tax Receipts are submitted and Exhibit O has been re-
written to include this.
We trust that this will meet your adequacy standards and that a
favorable recommendation to the Board will follow.
Very truly yours,
OCCNTAL OIL S E, INC.
,~"~ ~ '~?~i~ 911-`
Robert E.
