• field studies. <br />2.9 PLANT SPECIES LIST <br />All plant species observed during the sampling were noted and have been <br />listed; the scientific nomenclature follows Weber and Johnston (1979). <br />Common names have been gleaned from Beetle (1970), Nickerson et al. <br />(1976), and SCS (1979). Also indicated in the list is the provenance <br />(native or introduced) and vegetation type in which each species occurs. <br />2.10 PLANT SPECIES OF SPECIAL CONCERN <br />P,ecords of the Colorado Natural Heritage Inventory (CNHI) Database <br />(Colorado State Department of Natural Resources) were checked to <br />determine the known occurrence in the study area of any plants that are <br />listed, or are candidates to be listed, as Threatened, Endangered, or of <br />special concern by federal or state agencies. <br />• <br /> <br />-5- <br />
