This information was submitted to satisfy the requirements of <br />Stipulation No. 1 placed on permit approval. The design you have proposed <br />would place the spillway largely in betlrock and includes a 6-inch thickness of <br />shotcrete (or similar material) liner where needed in unconsolidated <br />material. Based on the high velocities expected, energy dissipators are <br />included at the base of the spillway. The spi llway design can be approved as <br />submitted. <br />It is important that the spillway be constructed as designed at the onset of <br />operations and that it be maintained regularly.
