Notice Regarding Informal Conference
RE: Alpine Rock Company, Swan River Resource, Permit Application
No. M-93-035, Informal Conference
Dear Ms. Rosetter:
As required by Rule 2.3.2, the Division has scheduled an informal conference to
define the outstanding issues raised by objectors to the Swan River Resource
application.
At the informal conference, each person objecting to the approval of the application
shall set forth the grounds for the objection. Similarly, the applicant and any
other person >upporting the issuance of the application, shall present the grounds
necessary to support the issuance of the application.
Any interested person may participate in the informal conference by submitting a
written brief presenting his position or by appearing in person.
Any issue raised orally, that was not previously submitted in writing, by any party
at the informal conference shall be submitted in writing to the Division by such
party within 5 days after the informal conference.
The parties to a subsequent hearing before the Board may not present any claim
supporting the approval or denial of the application unless such claim was first
presented to the Division at the informal conference. The Board, or its designated
pre-hearing conference officer, may, in its discretion, grant an exception to this
provision for good cause shown.
The informal conference will be held at the Division of Minerals and Geology office
in Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 2, 1993. Please
notify this office of your intent to attend or not to attend this conference.
