• angle of draw at the South Grid.
City of Florence Water Line
Survey measurements of the water line monuments indicate subsi-
dence occurring only at Monument "E'. Totai displacement at
Monument "E" is 0.41 feet with a change of 0.20 feet from the
preceeding survey in May, 1986. The change observed during this
reporting period is comparable to the 0.17 feet measured during
the previous six month period. It is anticipated that minor
subsidence at this monument will continue as the underground caved
area continues to consolidate. Monuments "B` through 'D' are not
indicating any subsidence and are not anticipated to do so until
they are undermined.
Newlin Creek Streambed
Survey data for this reporting period detected total subsidence of
0.62 feet and a change from the preceeding survey of 0.02 feet.
The relatively high rate of movement observed during the previous
reporting period has apparently ceased and equilibrium has been
reached. The cause of the subsidence, possibly caving of abandon-
ed mine workings as described in the prevlous semi-annual report,
may be complete and will be verified by continued monitoring of
~ the streambed Monument.
Thompson Ranch Structures
No subsidence was detected on the three structures monitored at
the Thompson Ranch, It is anticipated that there will be only
very minor additional subsidence in this area.
Conclusions
s
The subsidence detected during this six month monitoring period is
comparable to the predictions made by RMG in the Mining Permit.
No structural damage has been observed nor is any expected. It is
anticipated that additional subsidence of all monitored monuments
and structures will be minimal and within the maximum values
predicted in the Mining Permit.
