<br />• <br />ql 0-3 inches dark brown (10 YR 3/3) gravelly fine sandy loam, very <br />dark grayish brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; very fine single grain <br />structure; loose, loose; non-sticky and non-plastic; common very <br />fine and fine roots, few medium roots; non-calcareous; pH 6.9; 40 <br />percent gravels; clear smooth boundary. <br />B21 3-14 inches dark brown (10 YR 3/3) sandy clay loam, very dark <br />brown (10 YR 2/2) moist; medium very tine angular blocky <br />structure; loose, very friable; sticky and plastic; common very fine <br />and fine roots, few medium roots; non-calcareous; pH 6.6; 30 <br />percent gravels and cobbles; clear smooth boundary. <br />B22t 14-30 inches brown (10 YR 4/3) clay loam, very dark brown (10 YR <br />2/2) moist; moderate very fine angular blocky structure; slightly <br />hard, very friable; sticky and plastic; common very fine and fine <br />roots, few medium roots; few thin clay film line pores; non- <br />calcareous; pH 6.6. <br />• <br /> <br />R 30+ inches sandstone. <br />The surface horizon is Thinner than other pedons of this series. The surface <br />texture of this pedon has considerably more coarse fragments than is typical, <br />containing about 40 percent gravels.
