northeast corner Section 14, T.SN R.86 W at 7,008 feet elevation is: <br />• <br />A I 0-5 inches dark brown (10 YR 4/3) fine sandy loam, very dark <br />grayish brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; weak thin platy structure parting <br />to fine single grain; soft, very friable; non-sticky and slightly <br />plastic; non-calcareous; pH 7.1; clear wavy boundary. <br />B21 5-19 inches dark grayish brown (10 YR 4/2) sandy clay loam, very <br />dark brown (10 YR 2/2) moist; moderate medium angular blocky <br />structure; slightly hard, firm; slightly sticky and plastic; non- <br />calcareous; pH 6.7; lower 4 inches of horizon is fractured <br />sandstone; abrupt wavy boundary. <br />B2 19-30 inches yellowish brown (10 YR 5/4) silty clay, brown lIU YR <br />4/3) moist; moderate medium angular blocky structure; slightly <br />hard, firm; slightly sticky; plastic; common clay films coat peds, <br />few thin clay films line pores; non-calcareous; pH 6.8; abrupt wavy <br />boundary. <br />• <br />R 30-60 inches fractured sandstone; non-calcareous. <br />This pedon is not as deep as the typical series.
