<br />Doc Date:12/1112001 <br />iii iiiiiiiuiiiiiii <br />sss <br />UNNAMED SERIES 32 PEDON <br />Sandy Loam <br />PROFILE // <br />05-03-19-060 <br />A pedon (05-03-19-060) of the Unnamed 32 sandy loam, 0 to 2 percent slopes, <br />a coarse-loamy Cumulic Cryaquoll, 170 feet east, 1,360 feet south, northwest corner <br />Section 30, T.SN R.85W at 6,873 feet elevation is: <br />A I 0-3 inches dark grayish brown (10 YR 4/2) loam, very dark grayish <br />brown (10 YR 3/2) moist; tew medium taint mottles (10 YR 4/6) <br />moist; very fine single grain; soft, very friable; non-sticky and non- <br />elastic; many very fine, fine and medium roots, tew coarse roots; <br />non-calcareous; pH 6.4; clear smooth boundary. <br />• <br />AC 3-8 inches brown (10 YR 5/3) loamy sand, mixed colors of dark <br />brown and very dark grayish brown (10 YR 3/4, 4/3) moist; common <br />fine distinct mottles (10 YR 3/6) moist; weak fine subangular <br />blocky structure breaking to single grain; loose, very friable; non- <br />sticky and non-plastic; many very fine, fine and medium roots, few <br />coarse roots; slightly calcareous; pH 6.8; 3U percent gravels, 20 <br />percent cobbles, 15 percent stones; diffuse smooth boundary. <br />CI 8-23+ inches brown (10 YR 5/3) coarse sands, gravels, cobbles and <br />stones, stratified colors of dark brown (10 YR 3/3) to black (10 YR <br />2/I) moist; common medium prominent mottles (5 YR 4/6) moist; <br />medium single grain; loose, non-sticky and non-plastic; common <br />very fine, fine and medium roots; non-calcareous; pH 6.9; 40 <br />percent gravels, 40 percent cobbles, 2U percent stones; standing <br />water at 23 inches. <br />C~ <br />This pedon has a thin loam surface horizon. Standing water was measured at 23 <br />inches. Mottles are visible to the surface.
