Box 5243
Denver, Colorado 80217
RE: "DDD" Operation - File No. M-84-076
~.i.~-:
Dear ",,,-.ze;~:
On June 26, 1984, I received your written reply to my adequacy letter of
June 19, 1984. Based upon that written reply and our telephone conversation
of that same afternoon, I recommended approval of the application for the
"DDD" operation to the Board. On June 28, 1984, the Mined Land Reclamation
Board voted to approve the application and set the amount of the financial
warranty at $50,000.00 for a maximum of 30 acres of mining disturbance and 5
acres of road disturbance within the total permit area.
As per our telephone conversation, your letter left four issues slightly
unresolved. I will mention these below, using the same exhibit letter and
question number designations as in my original adequacy letter of
June 19, 1984. Please respond to these final questions as soon as possible
(thus confirming the answers given to me over the telephone), where necessary.
Exhibit D, Question 3
Are the buffer zones shown on your maps to be left totally undisturbed during
mining (thus, not requiring reclamation)?
Exhibits E and F, Question 2
Please further clarify the reclamation plans for the drainageway in Phase 16.
Is the area involved to be revegetated in final reclamation?
Exhibit M
I received confirmation of Elbert County Zoning approval on June 28, 1984.
Exhibit 0
I received the original, notarized affidavit demonstrating legal
right-to-enter on June 27, 1984.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel.
