Adequate slope for the sewer pipe shall be provided
to insure proper drainage. Also, cleanouts shall be provided
at all bends for access in case of a clogged sewer line.
Discharge of the final effluent shall be through a 4" diameter
PVC pipe into Munger Creek. The final effluent shall be treated
with chlorine tablets to provide an effective method of disin-
fection, and shall be routinely monitored and sampled accord-
ingly to insure that the discharge standards, as set forth in
this permit, have not been violated.
SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL
All waste oil and grease will be used as dust suppressants on roads
• in the underground operation.' Although specifics
on the chemistry and toxicity of these agents can not be deter-
mined until a supplier is contracted, Salt Creek Mining will use
only EPA-approved chemicals.
In general, dust suppressants or wetting agents are non-toxic,
bio-degradable chemicals that lower the surface tension of
water allowing for agglomeration of dust particles.
Anti-freeze agents to be used will be non-chloride and, in the
amounts to be used, will have no negative affects on the envi-
• ronment. Floculants are discussed in Section 2.3.3.4.
Any accidental spill of these agents will be immediately con-
tained and all contaminated material will be removed to an
JAN 22 1985
