• ~} <br />Mr. Mark Loye <br />August 29, 1984 <br />Page Two <br />Ditson Pit <br />The attached revised plans reflect the corrected <br />description. <br />The special use permit applies to the entire permit <br />Idler Pit <br />legal <br />Exhibit A -The revised map reflects the correct legal <br />description. <br />Exhibit B -The haul road will be graded to nsure <br />sedimentation will be kept from moving into the Arkansas fiver. <br />A ditch will be provided only if the slope of the road i not <br />proving satisfactory. <br />As stated in the mining plan, the operation will only ccur <br />during the dry season when the water level is sufficiently 1 w to <br />allow equipment to work the site. <br />The soils report is based on the SCS study for Prowers C unty <br />and describes general conditions for this area. Specificall , as <br />pointed out in the mine plan, there will be no topsoil rem val, <br />since none exists where disturbance will occur. <br />Exhibit U - <br />Wildlife -Picture:; accompanying this correspondence show <br />existing conditions of the stock pond resulting from pre ious <br />mining (pre law). Final reclamation should produce a si filar <br />situation. <br />Water Resources - The existing stock pond which wil be <br />expanded does not concern water rights. It is the oper tors <br />opinion that this will :also be the case many years from now when <br />the stock pond is expanded. <br />Exhibit E - Please refer to the attached photos. Reveget tion <br />will occur in affected areas where vegetation is destroye by <br />mining activity. <br />Please refer to the attached photos which better describ the <br />topsoil situation. Where encountered, topsoil will be salva ed. <br />Exhibit F - The special use permit applies to all affected reas <br />of this permit. <br />
