Please revise the mining and reclamation plans to indicate where the processing fines will be <br />placed if the optional trenches are not constructed. If these additional fines are to be placed in <br />the pit, please indicate how they will affect the material balance calculations and final <br />depthlconfiguration of the pitfpond. <br />2. Please revise Page 21, paragraph 2 to indicate where the sediment control ditch will be directed if <br />the optional trenches are not installed. <br />3. Elam may wish to replace operation specifics for the optional trenches with generalities. <br />4. Please remove or revise the statement on page 23, last paragraph that indicates the trench wilt <br />be used to distinguish if an oil sheen is caused by mining equipment or by existing hazardous <br />waste contamination. <br />5. Please revise page 29, paragraph 2 to include crimping of mulch. <br />6. Please ensure the acreage figures for each area of the permit are consistent in all exhibits and on <br />the maps. There are several inconsistencies noted that need to be corrected. <br />7. Please revise the application maps to include notation that the trench installation is optional and <br />that the construction location and specifications, as well as reclamation specifics are under <br />HMWMD jurisdiction. <br />
