Therefore, exposure of ground <br />water must not occur during or after mining operations. <br />® The proposed operation will consume ground water by: ^ evaporation, ^ dust control, ^ <br />reclamation, ^ water removed in the mined product, ^ processing, ®other:.the operator <br />proposes using not morn than 1,000 gpd for all purposes. <br />Prior to initiation of these uses of ground water, the applicant will need to obtain either a gravel pit <br />or other type of well permit, as applicable. However, prior to obtaining a permit, an approved water <br />supply plan or decreed plan for augmentation is required. <br />^ Prior to approving a well permit, the applicant must conduct a field inspection of the site and <br />document the locations of all wells within 600 feet of the permit area. The applicant must then <br />obtain a waiver of objection from all well owners with wells within 600 feet of the permit area or <br />request a hearing before the State Engineer. <br />^ Other: <br />COMMENTS: Storm water runoff and any groundwater which may be encountered will be directed to a <br />settling pond and then be discharge to the South Arkansas River. [f this water 1s not released or pumped out <br />of the settling pond within 72 hours or less, the applicant should obtain a Substitute Supply Plan. <br />The application states that water for all uses will not exceed 1,000 gpd. The applicant is planning to perfect <br />water rights for a well and surface water diversion to supply these needs. Water should not be used until the <br />water rights have been perfected and an augmentation plan or substitute supply plan approved for use of the <br />water. <br />
