Operator is also permitting
Wearer Ranch, Inc., to continue to graze cattle and to permit hunting on the
300 acres.
Operator plans to commence mining as soon as possible after all necessary
permits have been received as specified in Paragraph 12 below. Operator
plans to immediately, upon receipt of the permits, e>:ercise the option and
survey and record the road easement. In the meantime, operator will com-
mence mining. Operator estimates a useful life of the mine of 20 years, as-
suin:.ng operator on a later date, estimated to be three-five years Bence, ap-
pliE:s for and receives an extension or modification into a 112 permit. Tk~e
typo of mining proposed is a quarry operation of sandstone.
2. There is no topsoil in any appreciable quantity. Any surface material crhich
can be utilized by operator will be set aside and later used to reduce the
slo}~e and highwalls during reclamation.
3. There is virtually no overburden on the proposed mine site. The deposit is
of uniform quality from the surface to the bottom of the formation.
4. The average depth of the deposit is approximately 50 feet.
5. Operator plans to use the existing roads and trails [o provide access to the
site. They are shown on Exhibit E in GREEN. The pit or mining location is
outlined in YELLOId on Exhibit E. Mining will begin on the south boundary
shoo~n on the map and shall proceed to the north. All equipment utilized at
the mine site will be portable. No maintenance will be done at the mine
site.
