(i) Approximately 8 - 12 inches of topsoil exists at the site. Below the topsoil is <br />the gravel and road building material. The maximum depth for the pit is 40 - 50 feet. <br />Actual depth will depend on availability of usable material. <br />(ii) The stratum immediately beneath the gravel is a clay and dirt material. <br />g) The primary commodity to be mined is gravel. Secondarily, some sand and clay <br />deposits occur, but they are minor in nature. All materials are used for road building and <br />maintenance in Washington County. <br />h) Incidental materials such as sand and clay are also going to be used for road building <br />and maintenance in Washington County. <br />(i) No explosives will be used at the site. <br />
