FROM GREG-LEWICKI
FRX N0. 3036299335
Mar. 23
~~~
There are no costs for removal of equipment since the dozer, loader, crusher and stacker
and will be hauled off the site after reclamation is complete. DMG overhead consists of contractor
profit, bid preparation, etc and are estimated at 19.5% of direct costs.
Topsoil and subsoil will be spread to the approximate thickness which existed prior to disturbance.
The revegetation seed mix, fertilization and mulch efforts follow the recommendations of the local
SCS scientist, whose report is enclosed in Appendix A.
Map Exhibit E-2 shows how the site will appear after reclamation. All outside slopes have been
graded to a maximum of 2.OH:1.OV including the slopes around the two power poles.
The seed mix provides the following species and rates for drill seeding:
Western Wheatgrass: 8.0 pls/acre
Sideoats Grama: d.5 plsJacre
Green Needlegrass: 5.0 plslacre
Big Btuestem: 5.5 pls/acre
Yellow Sweet Clover: 3.5 ols/acre
Total 26.5 pls/acre
These rates are for drill seeding, which will be the method employed. For the 2.OH:1.OV slopes,
broadcast seeding will be employed, using double the seed rates shown above.
Weed-free mulch will also be provided at the rate of 2.0 tons per acre and will be crimped into the
soil surface. Commercial starter fertilizer will be applied a[ the rate of 4fl pounds available nitro-
gen.
2. Post-Reclamation Site Drsina~e
The site will remain as a mild, shallow depression after reclamation, however, the slopes are mild
enough to providc For good revegetation and offer some refuge for wildlife as well as provide forage
for grazing animals.
Ferrero Pil 2/(10 23
