SN-N3, 7D5 has remained relatively consistent over the yoara tlu ring both seasons
(i rrigatS an and non-irrigation). NPDES 001 showed signifi cant increased mean
concentrations of TOS during the non-irrigati on seasons in t984 and 7985, but these mean
concentrations for Che same season decreased aC this site during 1986 and 1987. It is not
apparent thaC the higher TDS levels at NPDES Site OD1 during the 1984 and 1985
non-trrigatton period affected mean 7D5 for the same years donnstream at Site SW-N3.
Mean annual total suspended solids (TSS) pH sad dissolved iron (FeD) have sat consistently
trended towards increased concentrations over ti ma Tor either season' at any of the three
sites (NPDES 001, SW-N7 and SW-NS].
Total iron (FeT) and total manganese (MnT) have Doth gradually increased in mean annual
eoncentrati on for both seasons since 1980 at NPDES Site 007. These gradual inereeaea in
mean annual concentrations or FeT and MnT at NPDES OOt proDaDly reflect a caoDinatf on of
rurwff Tram increased acreage of reel ai mad areas and dS SCharge from springs emanating from
reseturated spoil.
81 tas SW-N3 end SN-N7 Doth shah si nil er trends of gradual inereaaes in mean annual
• ~ eoncentrati ons of FaT and NnT during Doth seasons. Nowever, Snereased concentrations over
time era lose 0l sti act for Sfte SN-N3. Interestingly. Che most promt pant increase in swan
annual concentration o/ both FeT and NnT }or both seasons occurred ai Site SN-N1, rrhi d, is
• located along Tuttle Draw well upstream of arty mini ng dS aturDanca.
based on the data presented in Ne tables, no significant treM tonsrd higher
eoncentrati ons of the sal acted parameters has been detected. Discharge from NPDES 001 has
not reaul tad in a degradation of water quality donnstream in Tuttle Draw. Any datectahie
inereaaes over time at a5 ther Sites SN-N3 or NPDES OOt have also been detected well
upstream of mining at Site SN-N1. Based on the aforenenti oned cdopari sons, runoff free
reclaimnd areas hen had no nt gnlfi cant effeeE on recei vin9 stream water quality. It is
corwlu0ed that runoff from reel aimed areas established in ai thar the Nuela Hine or Nucla
East mining area wt 11 have no si gni lieant impact over time on the quality of recel vtng
stream water quality.
Summary
TDSa Tab has presented a diacussi on of probable hydrologic eonaequances of the revs sad
17-90 Revised 04/17/88
•
REVISED MARCH 2006 Attachment 2.05.6(3)-2-102
