Dan and Bernard Knott
Knott Land and Livestock Company, Inc.
Star Route
Oak Creek. CO 80467
October 31. 1995
Greg Lewicki
Greg Lewicki and Associates
1645 Court Place Suite 309
Denver. Colorado 80202
Dear Greg:
As owner of the surface area of the reclaimed Apex q2 Mine, I would like to express
Knott Land and Livestock Company, Ines desires for final reclamation of the site.
These desires are listed as follows:
1) We desire that an access road of 14 feet width be retained as shown on the enclosed
drawing. This road is needed to provide access for ranch equipment to and from the
storage building on the site.
2) The gravel berm on the east side of the property should be removed and made level
with the existing reclaimed field. The removed gravel should be placed on the access
road to our building located on the site. Topsoil from the road area should be placed
on the excavated berm area to a depth of at least 4 inches.
3) The access road should make a wider bend in front of the garage door to allow
easier access of equipment to and from the building. See enclosed drawing.
4) After Phase 2 bond release, we desire that the pond embankment material above the
emergency spillway (approx. 2 feet high x 9 feet wide x 140 feet long) be pushed into
the bottom of the pond, thus making the field more level and preventing water from
impounding. The bottom of the pond should then be covered with at least 4 inches of
topsoil.
Overall, we are pleased with the reclamation of the site and the minor changes listed
above make the site even more useful to us in our ranching business. Thank you.

g~"~-^-~ ~~~ 187,a,
Bernard Knott
R' 13 Revised 11/20/A9
fa PPRoveD lz~/i X95
