GREG LEWICKI
7EL~1-303-629-9335 Rpr__04,92 16 51 No .002 P.02
~ 2.05.4(2}(61 Reclamation Costs (centinuedl
This section was added in November of 1995 to account for dclails of certain reclamation
items to be completed after Phase 2 bond release. These item:; are discussed in detail on
page 183. The approximate reclamation costs for the wot+k arc included below:
Item 1) Cut down sediment pond dam and fill in pond. Using-tlte small D-4 size dozer
available from the adjacent landowner at a rate of $45/hour, the short push distance
downhill of approximately 45 feet to the adjacent pond can be accomplished in 4 hours for
e quantity of 149 cubic yards. Therefore, the cost to complett: this item is 4 hrs x $45lhr =
$180.
Item 2) Excavate topsoil from road and place on filled pond. Again, the pond is adjacent to
the road and can be covered with soil in approximately 3.5 hours, using a quantity of 121
cubic yards. Therefore, the cost to complete this item is 3.5 hrs x S45/hr = $}57.
ltcm 3) Excavate the east berm and place this material on the access road surface. This
~ work will require a small loader, smell truck end a smell dozer to spread and grade the
material after placement. Using a rental cost of $45lhr for caclt of the three machines, the
((~ breakdown of costs is as follows:
1. -
Truck/loader: Assuming the truck is of 5 cy capacity, the small loader (bucket ].2 cy) can
complete a {oad of the truck in 4.0 minutes. The truck needs 4.5 minutes to deliver the fill
to the road and return to the loader, therefore the full cycle time is 8.5 minutes. Since the
quantity to be moved is 174 cubic yards, the 35 cycles are needed to complete the work.
Time needed is 35 cycles x 8.5 minutes per cycle =approximately 5 hours. Cost for the
loadedtruck tandem is $90 hr x 5 hrs = 5450.
Dozer: The D-4 dozer will be used to spread and grade the fill/roadbase. Approximately 2.5
hours will be needed for this task. Cost = 2.5 hrs x $45(hr = $112
Item 4) Revegetation. The area to be reseeded after Phase 2 bond release from the tasks
described above is approximately 0.31 acres. By broadcasting seed end mulch, the work can
be done for a cost of 5300.
Total costs for reclamation of the items described above after phase 2 bond release is
S1199.
`• 185.8
Revised 11/IO/95
?-PYi'
