EXHIBIT B -Site Description (6.3.2) <br />(a) Based on discussions with the Pagosa Field Office of the Natural <br />Resource Conservation Service (MRCS), and review of the available <br />soil mapping in the area, the soil present throughout the mining area <br />is classified as M1-CE, Valty, stony sandy loam. Vegetation in the <br />area includes native grasses (including brome and some timothy), <br />and some Aspen trees. <br />(b) There are no permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the <br />permit boundary/ affected area. <br />(c) An irrigation ditch (Sheep Creek Ditch) runs from north to south <br />across the east end of the property. No mining activity will occur <br />within 20 feet of this ditch and due to the channel elevation, no <br />drainage will enter this ditch from the mining area. <br />(d) No critical or important wildlife habitat or wildlife species have been <br />observed in the area of the proposed permit area. <br />RECE14/E® <br />JUL 3 1 2006 <br />Division of M6~erals and Geology <br />
