1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />Reclamation procedures for the affected land must vary, <br />of necessity, due to the differing conditions within the <br />site. The following proposed procedures are compatible <br />with recommendations of the various governmental agencies <br />involved. Further, SANDCO, INC. assures the compliance <br />with the rules and regulations of these agencies. <br />The following procedures are proposed for reclaiming <br />each specific site within the permit area. <br />MINING AREA RECLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br />The area subject to actual mining operations comprises <br />the Animas River bed within the confines of the existing <br />channel. Topsoil and vegetation are non-existent in this <br />area and reclamation procedures here will consist of <br />removing and grading all isolation dikes, haul roads, and <br />other surface irregularities created by mining activities <br />to conform with the undisturbed portions of the river <br />channel. All grading will be accomplished in such a manner <br />to control erosion of the affected land and land proximate <br />thereto. <br />These procedures would occur annually after all mining <br />operations have been completed and prior to the seasonal <br />high water flows, thus assuring minimal disturbance in <br />areas of flowing water.
