r <br />~~ ~•• ~- <br />D <br />r <br />•o <br />r <br />p <br />• r <br />r <br />~^ <br />~- <br />~- <br />is <br />r <br />,~ <br />r <br />i <br />SE~TI®R9 9X, EXPERIMENTAL SYSTEMS <br />9.01 The local board of health shall consider application for individual sewage disposal systems <br />which employ means of sewage treatment or disposal not otherwise provided for in these <br />regulations and not certi&ed by the Colorado Department of Health pursuant to Section 25- <br />10.107, C.R.S. 1973, as amended, under the following conditions: <br />A. The system shall be designed by a Registered Professional Engineer, to include such <br />design speci5cations and testing data as the local board of health shall require in order <br />to evaluate the proposed system. <br />B. The applicant shall agree to conduct, at the applicant's expense, such field testing of <br />the proposed system as the local board of health shall require to insure that the system <br />functions properly and creates no hazard to the public health. <br />C. The design shall provide for the installation of a back-up system of a type described <br />in these regulations pursuant to the Section 25-10.105 (1) (e) through (I), C.RS. <br />1973, as amended, which the applicant shall agree to install in the event that the health <br />officer or hisllter designated representative determines that the proposed system, once <br />installed, is not functioning properly or is otherwise creating a hazard to the public <br />health. <br />D. In the case of manufactured units or systems, the local board of health shall issue <br />permits for no mote than ten (10) systems utilizing azry one specific manufacturer and <br />model of experimental equipment. <br />E. Permits issued for experimental systems shall be valid for one (1) year and may be <br />renewed for no more than one (1) additional year. <br />55 <br />
