-`, ~ ~ l <br />E. If a system will be installed where low temperature may be a factor, design shall <br />compensate for the effects of the low temperature. <br />F. Composting toilets shall bear the seal of approval of the National Sanitation <br />Foundation or an equivalent testing program. Composting toilets shall be operated <br />according to manufacturer's specifications. <br />G. Applications for systems utilizing composting toilets shall include plans for disposal <br />of grey water. <br />7.06 Business, Commercial, Industrial, lnstitutiona/ or Multi-family Dwelling <br />Waste Systems <br />A. Performance criteria and construction standards for a system which will service <br />commercial, business, institutional or industrial property, or multifamily dwellings <br />shall conform to these guidelines. <br />B. Such systems shall be designed by a Registered Professional Engineer. An application <br />for such a system shall be reviewed by the local board of health unless disposal is <br />through an absorption system and the wastes are exclusively domestic type wastes, <br />in which case review shall be by the local health department if authorized by <br />regulations of the local board of health for such systems. <br />C. Systems shall receive only such biodegradable wastes for treatment and disposal as <br />are compatible with those biological treatment processes as occur within the septic <br />tank and the soil matrix. <br />7.07 Systems for which data on design, operation and maintenance, based <br />upon use in Colorado, are limited or undetermined <br />A Systems which recycle treated wastewater for non-potable purposes such as flushing <br />water closets or urinals: <br />1. That portion of the wastewater recycled for nonpotable purposes such as <br />flushing water closets or urinals must meet the treatment requirements of <br />Section 4.05 of these guidelines for effiuent in which the possibility exists for <br />occasional direct human contact. <br />2.
