<br />a Buildng sewers shall have a uniform slope ofat least one-eighth (1/8) <br />of an inch per foot toward the point of treatment. <br />b. Building sewer piping shall be ]aid on a firm bed throughout it's entire <br />length. <br />c. Building sewers shall be installed a minimum of one (1) foot below <br />grade. <br />d. Building sewer cleanouts shall be installed at least every one hundred <br />(100) feet in straight runs. A cleanout is required inside or on the <br />outside of the wall neaz the building. <br />e. Building sewer bends shall be limited to forty-five (45) degree ells on <br />long sweep quarter bends. <br />f. Schedule 40 PVC, PVC SDR 35 or pipe of equivalent strength is <br />required whenever building sewer or effiuent lines aze located under <br />a mad or driveway. <br />19. Grease InterceQtors: <br />a Grease interceptors shall be required for all commercial food service <br />establishments. <br />b. Grease interceptors shall be located as close as practicable to the <br />wastewater source. <br />c. Sizing shall be in accordance with the requirements of the applicable <br />local plumbing code in force on the date of the individual sewage <br />disposal system permit application. <br />20. Termination ofUse of System: <br />The contents of a septic tank, vauh, privy pit, seepage pit, or cesspool, tbe use <br />of which has been terminated, shall be properly disposed of and the emptied <br />tank, vault, or pit, shall be filled with sod or rock. <br />21. Floodplains: <br />No new or expanded system shall be installed in a flood way. When a system <br />is installed ut a 100-yeaz floodplain then the new or repaired system shall meet <br />or exceed the requirements of the National flood Insurance program The <br />system as approved by the local heahh officer or his/her designated <br />representative shall be designed to m;n;m;~e or eliminate infiltration of the <br />flood waters into the system, and dischazge of the system into the flood <br />waters. <br />34 <br />
