<br />LS =length and percent slope factor
<br />L =length of slope and S =percent slope are Combined into an LS factor
<br />The length slope factor will vary between the pre-mined and reclaimed configuration of the
<br />site. Length slope factors will be derived from the cross-sections presented in Volume 6A.
<br />If the lower end of a slope is steeper than the upper end, the gradient of the steeper
<br />segment is used with the overall slope length to enter Figure 4, Values of Topographic
<br />Factor "LS". A maximum slope value of 60% will be used since this is the maximum value
<br />presented in the tables. The following tables show the interpolation of data from Figure
<br />4. The bold data are the measured length of slope, percent slope and interpolated LS
<br />factor.
