Twenty (20%) percent to Thirty (30%) percent of the <br />surface area of the proposed pit has historic use as a <br />sand and gravel pit, Topsoil of the remaining surface <br />area is gravelly alluvial soil, therefore the topsoil <br />will not be removed and stored for future reclamation <br />use. <br />B. Sand and gravel materials will be removed with front-end <br />loaders and dozers, screened and crushed when necessary; <br />removal to start from the South end and work North. Pit <br />is served by County Road No. 107. <br />C. There will be no groundwater or surface water rights involved <br />in the operation. No water table is anticipated to be <br />encountered in the excavation. <br />D. The actual area to be mined will cover less than 9.8 acres, <br />as shown on map. <br />E. The total affected area will cover less than 9.8 acres, <br />as shown on map. <br />F. Timetable of operations: The project will begin in April, <br />1980 and finish in late Summer or Fall of 1990. <br />G. The material to be mined will be sand and gravel. <br />H. No more than 650,000 tons of material will be mined <br />including overburden. <br /> <br />
