-IOl-
L~
2.2.2 Aquatic Ecology
Aquatic habitats on the project area consist primarily of
e
four perennial streams: Fish, Foidel, Middle, and Trout Creeks.
These streams appear to be fairly typical of the region in that they
are meandering, relatively shallow, cold-water streams containing a
diverse assemblage of aquatic organisms. Several small, man-made
stock ponds are also present, but appeared to be temporary in
nature. Aquatic sampling stations were located immediately above
(upper station) and directly below (lower station) the project
area on each of the four streams. Locations of these stations were
as follows:
Fish Creek
Upper Station
Middle Station
Lower Station
Foidel Creek
Upper Station
Lower Station
:Eddie Creek
Upper Station
Lower Station
Trout Creek

Upper Station
Lower Station
2.2.2.1 :fethods
NbI 1/4 SE '_/4 Section 34 R87Ti7 TSN
SE 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 17 R86W TSN
A'[7 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 1 R86W TSN
A'W 1/4 :TE 1;4 Section 7 R86W T_+N
N;d 1/4 SE 1/4 Section 29 R86W TS\
SE 1/4 NE I/4 Section 1° n36`d T4N
NE 1/4 NW 1/4 Seccion 10 R86Sd T4A
S°_ 1/4 ::E 1/4 Section 18 RB~~i TSN
NW 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 36 Rd6id T5N
Aquatic macrophytes were saspled in at least seven 0.25
meter square quadrats at each station where t`.ey ;sere observed.
~.~nv~s :. -ncuas
