2.2.2 Aquatic Ecology
Aquatic habitats on the project area consist primarily of
e
four perennial streams: Fish, Foidel, Middle, and Trout Creeks.
These streams appear to be fairly typical of the region in that they
are meandering, relatively shallow, cold-water streams containing a
diverse assemblage of aquatic organisms. Several small, man-made
stock ponds are also present, but appeared to be temporary in
nature. Aquatic sampling stations were located immediately above
(upper station) and directly below (lower station) the project
area on each of the four streams. Locations of these stations were
as follows:
