<br />''~ ~` i ~ <br />USR-483:81:29 <br />Weld County <br />Open-cut Gravel Mining Operation <br />8.1 acres m/1 in the NE's SE'y and 1.7 acres m/1 in the SW'y SE's, Section 23, T1N, R63W <br />of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado <br />Five (5) miles south and five miles east of the town of Keenesburg. <br />1. The submitted materials are in compliance with the application requirements <br />of Section 25.7 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance, <br />2. It is the opinion of the Weld County Planning Commission that the applicant <br />has shown compliance with Section 25.8 of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance <br />as follows: <br />- This request is in compliance with the Weld County Comprehensive Plan; <br />the Weld County Extraction Plan; and Mineral Resources, Volume II. <br />The area in question is non irrigated. The Weld County Extraction Plan <br />states extraction shall be accomodated in non irrigated areas so long <br />as appropriate extraction standards are followed. <br />- If the operation standards are complied with the impacts on surrounding <br />uses and the area will be minimized to the greatest extent possible <br />and provide adequate protection of t~ health, safety and welfare of <br />the inhabitants of the area and County. <br />- The proposed operation is in compliance with the provision of Section <br />31.4.1, Uses by Special Review in the Agricultural District. <br />- These determinations are based, in part, upon a review of the information <br />submitted by the applicant, other relevant information regarding the <br />request and the responses of the referral entities which have reviewed <br />this request. <br />The Weld County Planning Commissions approval is conditional upon the following; <br />1. The attached Operation Standards being recommended and approved for <br />this request. <br />2. The following note being placed on the Use by Special Review Plat; <br />NOTE: The Mined Iand Reclamation Board has the authority <br />to issue permits for mining and reclamation activities. <br />Activities related to mining and reclamation are, <br />therefore, under the jurisdiction of those matters <br />;outlined in the Operation Standards. <br />3. The Operation Standards being placed on the Use by Special Review <br />Plat.
