F,CKNOWLEDGIIENTS <br />Several individuals and organizations have been helpful in prepa- <br />ration of the present report, and the author therefore r•~ishes to acknow- <br />edge their aid. Bud Ogden, Tim Manley, Don Geddes, and Royce McRobbie <br />and other staff of Colorado Westmoreland, Inc. provided miscellaneous <br />data and were particularly helpful in orienting us to the needs of Colo- <br />rado Westmoreland and to [he local study area. Dr. Douglas Scott, District <br />Archaeoloyist for the Bureau of Land 1lanagemen[, was, as always, particu- <br />larly helpful in rooting out details of the local land patents and pro- <br />viding general cor,ments and criticism.
